The Court of Appeals today issued notice on Galle District MP Geetha Kumarasinghe and four others to appear in court on October 9.

This order was issued when the Court of Appeals today considered a writ petition filed by five residents of Galle.

The petitioners requests the Appeals Court to disqualify Kumarasinghe as a Member of Parliament on the grounds that she is a dual citizen of Sri Lanka and Switzerland.
