Senior Congress leader and former Union minister of state for Parliamentary affairs V Narayanasamy urged the BJP Government of India to clarify its stand on the issue of international inquiry against alleged war crimes during the Sri Lankan Civil War.
Addressing a press conference at Pudukottai on Sunday, Narayanasamy questioned the reported agreement between India and Sri Lanka during the visit of Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickramesinghe, on India providing training to Sri Lankan soldiers.
He alleged that this was a ‘big betrayal of the Tamils’ and wondered why other political parties of Tamil Nadu were silent on this vital issue.
