The Bodu Bala Sena organization is to stage a protest in front of the Fort Magistrate premises this morning against an alleged attempt to arrest its General Secretary Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera. 

A number of Police complaints have been lodged by various parties against Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera over his arbitrary interventions and harassment meted out to ethnic and religious minorities. 

However, no arrest warrant has so far been issued against Gnanasara Thera. Speaking to 'Asian Mirror', a senior Police spokesman said Police did not intend to arrest the BBS General Secretary. 

When asked about the attempts to arrest Gnanasara Thera, a BBS stalwart said his organization had received credible information that there was a serious conspiracy to arrest Gnanasara Thera and destabilize his organization - Bodu Bala Sena.
