Colombo Chief Magistrate, today, has stated at the Magisterial Inquiry inquiry into the killing of Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra that there is sufficient evidence to file murder case against 13 suspects of Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra murder, including Parliamentarian Duminda Silva.
The Magistrate made these remarks while referring the matter to the High Court because of a case pending in the HC against the accused including the Colombo District Parliamentarian.
The court house was packed today as it was the final day of the Magisterial Inquiry into the killing which took place in October 2011.
However, at the UPFA May Day rally which was held at Campbell Park, Colombo, yesterday, the daughter of the late Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra, Provincial Councilor Hirunika Premachandra was seen sitting together with Parliamentarian Duminda Silva. Silva sat alongside Hirunika Premachandra and there was only one empty seat between them!
