Jeyakumari Released

Jeyakumari Balendran, an activist against involuntary disappearances, who was arrested by Sri Lanka’s Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) in March 2014 was released on bail today by Colombo Magistrate Court, 362 days after her detention. She paid tribute to all activitists who raised voice for her freedom from the day she was detained.
