An express train traveling from Matara to Colombo Fort was derailed near Bambalapitiya today evening. Reports coming in live from the scene state that the rear compartment of the train has swayed out of track causing the compartment to go off the rails.
However the compartment has not toppled over, but the detachment from the train and the impact has caused some minor injuries to the passengers.
