Matara Divisional Crimes Detective Bureau (DCDB) arrested ten individuals at the Gandara fisheries harbor, seizing 160 kilograms of ‘Ice’ (crystal methamphetamine) and 60 kilograms of heroin.

Police Spokesman DIG Nihal Thalduwa confirmed the raid and said that further investigations are underway.

In a separate incident, three individuals were arrested at the Central Mail Exchange in Colombo while attempting to collect parcels containing 10.27 kilograms of Kush cannabis shipped from Thailand. The operation was carried out jointly by the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) and Sri Lanka Customs.

The suspects, residents of Padukka, Homagama, and Kalutara, are now in custody, and the seized parcels have been taken for further investigation
