Railway services on the main line were disrupted today when a train derailed near the Ragama railway station. 

The train, en route from Mahawa to Colombo Fort, went off the tracks this morning.
The incident has also caused significant traffic disruptions on the Ragama-Mahabage main road, according to police reports.
The Railway Department is working to restore services as soon as possible.
