The Bureau of Rehabilitation has launched a new facility in Vavuniya for women struggling with dangerous drug addictions.
The center, which can accommodate up to 100 women, will provide rehabilitation services mandated by court orders. The Commissioner General of Rehabilitation has informed the Ministry of Justice, Prison Affairs, and Constitutional Reforms about the center, and the Judicial Service Commission has advised judges to refer female drug addicts to this newly established facility for their recovery and support.
