Postal voting for the Presidential Election 2024 ends today, September 12. Government employees who missed the initial postal voting days on September 4, 5, and 6 have the opportunity to vote today at their district election office or Divisional Secretariat.

The Election Commission has announced that no further postal voting will be permitted after today for those who applied.

In related news, the deadline for accepting nominations for the Elpitiya Pradeshiya Sabha in the 2024 Local Government Elections also ends today. Nominations will be accepted at the Galle District Secretariat until 12:00 noon. The election deposit period concluded yesterday, with 10 political parties and two independent groups having submitted their deposits.
