Addressing supporters in the eastern region, Ranil underscored his past efforts to assist during the economic crisis, citing his provision of essential resources such as food, medicine, and fuel during shortages.
Highlighting recent achievements, he noted the reduction in fertilizer prices and the removal of farmers' loans as steps to support the agricultural sector. He also contrasted his efforts with those of his opponents, Sajith Premadasa and Anura Dissanayake, questioning their contributions to economic recovery.
