Namal Rajapaksa, presidential candidate of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), has pledged to create 2 million jobs over the next decade.
Speaking at a rally in Hiriyala, Rajapaksa highlighted the importance of job creation for Sri Lankan youth and outlined his plan to attract both local and foreign investors to set up factories in underserved constituencies.
He also promised tax reforms, including simplification and reduction of taxes, while ensuring increased government revenue without privatizing public assets.
