The Election Commission has ordered the immediate removal of all presidential candidate stickers from vehicles, citing violations of Section 74 of the Presidential Elections Act No. 15 of 1981. Complaints have been lodged about unauthorized promotional materials on private vehicles, including buses and three-wheelers.
The commission has directed police to conduct emergency inspections to enforce the removal of these stickers. So far, the commission has received 3,041 complaints related to the presidential election, with 2,947 concerning election law violations and 25 related to acts of violence.
