A search operation is in progress to find three fishermen who went missing after their trawler capsized following a collision with a ship 270 nautical miles off the coast of Sri Lanka. The incident occurred early yesterday morning.
The fishing trawler, carrying seven crew members, overturned after the collision. Four of the fishermen were rescued by another vessel, while three remain unaccounted for. The missing fishermen, aged 28, 43, and 52, are from Ahungalla and Kosgoda.
The rescued fishermen are currently being brought to shore. Both the Galle Harbour Police and the Navy are leading the search and investigation into the incident.
