A tragic incident occurred in Serupitiya, Dehiattakandiya this morning, where a 24-year-old man was stabbed and his wife was injured. The violence reportedly stemmed from a family dispute.

According to the police, the deceased's father is the primary suspect in the attack. The father allegedly used a sharp weapon to stab his son to death and injure his daughter-in-law. The injured woman has been hospitalized, while the victim’s body has been sent to Polonnaruwa Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
