Sajith Premadasa, presidential candidate for the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), has unveiled a comprehensive poverty alleviation program. This initiative aims to integrate aspects of existing schemes like Janasaviya, Samurdhi, Aswasuma, and Gamidiriya.

Premadasa's plan includes a two-year program providing a monthly subsidy of 20,000 rupees to each poor family. It also offers subsidized fertilizer at 5,000 rupees and affordable fuel through a QR code system for farmers, fishermen, and other key groups.

Additionally, Premadasa promises to address agricultural loan write-offs and fair pricing issues for farmers.
