President Ranil Wickremesinghe has officially opened the "Sobadhanavi" 350 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant in Kerawalapitiya. 

This marks a pivotal moment for Sri Lanka’s energy sector as the "Sobadhanavi" becomes the country's first power plant to utilize LNG as its primary fuel.
