The Election Commission said that representatives from 12 countries, including India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and the Maldives, will observe the upcoming Presidential Election.

Chairman R.M.A.L. Ratnayake confirmed that these international observers will monitor all election activities and provide a comprehensive report.
European Union observers have already arrived, and Commonwealth election monitors along with representatives from the Asian Election Observation Network will also be present.
These observations were approved following requests from the respective organizations.
