Opposition leader and presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa has urged Sri Lankans to unite in the fight against corruption and work towards economic freedom. Speaking to the business community, Sajith Premadasa said that his team has the expertise to pull the nation out of its current economic crisis.

Premadasa outlined a vision of economic growth through humanitarian capitalism and social democracy, focusing on export-oriented development. He rejected extreme economic policies, including trickle-down economics and radical socialism, advocating for a balanced approach that ensures social justice and equality.
