National Election Commission Begins Printing Over 17 Million Polling Cards for Presidential Election

The National Election Commission (NEC) of Sri Lanka has started printing over 17 million polling cards in preparation for the upcoming Presidential Election. The Chairman of the NEC, R.M.A.L. Rathnayake, said that these cards will be handed over to the Department of Posts on September 2, 2024. A special day, September 8, 2024, has been designated for the distribution of polling cards to voters across the country.

In total, 17,140,354 polling cards are being printed. These cards will assist voters in verifying their identity at polling stations.
