Kandy District MP Velu Kumar, representing the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), announced his support for President Ranil Wickremesinghe. 

The announcement was made just before President Wickremesinghe submitted his nominations for the upcoming presidential election.
Velu Kumar visited the President's office on Flower Road to formally extend his backing.
