The body of a 69-year-old man, suspected to have been murdered, was discovered in a well near Wellawali Kalupalama in Mandoor on May 27. The Wellawali Police recovered the body following a tip-off.

The deceased, a local resident, had gone to the Mediation Board on May 26 to address a dispute with neighbors. Investigations suggest he was assaulted and thrown into the well while returning home.

The police are actively investigating to identify and apprehend the suspects involved in the murder.
