The Customs Department has issued a warning about a fraudulent scheme promising jobs within the department. According to spokesperson Sivali Arukgoda, numerous complaints have been received from individuals who were targeted by this scam.

The scheme specifically preys on candidates preparing for state sectoral exams, falsely claiming they can secure employment in the Customs Department. Arukgoda said that recruitment is strictly based on high scores in the competitive exam, and there are no alternative pathways to join the department.
