Sri Lanka's star cricketer Kusal Mendis has received his visa to travel to the USA, allowing him to participate in the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup. The top-order batsman is expected to leave for the USA in the next few days to join the Sri Lankan squad, which departed last week.

Mendis faced a delay in obtaining his visa due to additional information requested by the US Embassy. However, the issue has now been resolved. The Sri Lankan national team has already begun their preparations for the tournament, which starts on June 1, 2024, and will be co-hosted by the USA and the West Indies.
