One person has lost their life and another has been injured after a hand tractor collided with an express train at Duwamodara railway crossing in Kosgoda.

The accident, which took place yesterday evening (13), involved an express train traveling from Matara to Maradana.
The driver of the hand tractor(49 year old) who sustained serious injuries, passed away after being admitted to Balapitiya hospital, while the passenger has been transferred to Karapitiya Hospital for further treatment.

Kosgoda Police are currently investigating the incident.
