The non-academic staff of state universities is set to stage a two-day token strike, citing various grievances, including a demand for increased salaries.

The University Trade Union Joint Committee, represented by spokesperson Dhammika Priyantha, announced the strike schedule for tomorrow, February 28th, and the following day, February 29th.#

The committee has issued a warning, stating that if their concerns are not addressed by the authorities within one week, they will escalate their protest with a continuous trade union action.
