Sports Minister Harin Fernando has declared that all 72 registered sports in Sri Lanka now enjoy "Total Autonomy" after decades of governance reforms.
Minister Fernando revealed that not a single National Sports Association (NSA) remains under interim rule, and none have faced bans by international federations.
Furthermore, there are no ongoing court cases related to sports governance.
This significant achievement marks a turning point in Sri Lanka's sports administration, with Minister Fernando emphasizing that all stakeholders of NSAs now have the freedom and opportunity to elect their office bearers.
