Effective today, the All Ceylon Egg Traders’ Association has announced a major increase in egg prices.

Secretary Buddhika Weerasena attributed the rise to escalating industry costs, particularly in distribution.

Wholesale egg prices will now stand at Rs. 58, with retail prices expected to reach Rs. 63 per egg.
