Police were alerted to a distressing scene in Mirihana Jubilee Mawatha on February 8th, where the bodies of an 80-year-old man and a 96-year-old woman were discovered in a residence.

The woman's body was found unclothed on the kitchen floor. The discovery was made after a neighbor reported a strong odor emanating from the premises to the Mirihana Police.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
