Rividhanavi (Pvt) Ltd. signed a breakthrough power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) today, The agreement secures plans for the construction of a 100 MW ground-mounted solar plant in Siyambalanduwa, a crucial step in improving the country's sustainable energy infrastructure.
The project began in September 2022, when the CEB posted an advertising, kicking off a rigorous review process that would last until 2023. Rividhanavi emerged triumphant as the lowest and most successful bidder, securing the project by the end of 2023. Rividhanavi will also install a critical 27.5-kilometer transmission line to ensure seamless interaction with the national grid. Once completed, the transmission infrastructure will be delivered to the CEB, demonstrating Rividhanavi's dedication to collaborative efforts to advance Sri Lanka's renewable energy strategy.
Rividhanavi (Pvt) Ltd. is a coalition of prominent partners, including Lakdhanavi Ltd., Windforce PLC, and The Blue Circle PTE Ltd of Singapore. With a projected investment of USD 132 million, this consortium's participation demonstrates a strong commitment to developing sustainable energy solutions in the country.
