The parliament has taken steps to increase the price of a meal for MPs by Rs. 100. The decision was taken during the housekeeping committee meeting. Accordingly, an MP will have to shell out Rs. 300 for a meal following the increase.

Similarly, it is reported that the price of a meal provided to parliamentary journalists has increased by fifty rupees. Accordingly, its new price will be 150 rupees.
