Former Cricketer Sanath Jayasruiya has raised his concerns about protestors and activist being detained under the Prevention of Terrorism Act in Sri Lanka.

In a Twitter message, Jayasuriya said it was deeply concerning to see many arrests of protesters and detaining some under terrorism laws. “We are slowly limping to normalcy. This is the time to look forward not backwards. To err is human to forgive divine.” he noted.

Three weeks ago Tourism Minister Harin Fernando appointed Cricketing legend Sanath Jayasuriya as the Tourism Ambassador of Sri Lanka.
