Senior journalist Kingsley Rathnayake is to be appointed the new media spokesman to the President.
He has resigned from his position at the Capital Maharaja organisation today.
A veteran broadcaster, Rathnayake has been involved in Sri Lanka's media industry for over 25 years.
His new assignment follows the appointment of Sudewa Hettiarachchi, a former CEO at the Swarnavahini media network, as the head of the President's Media Division.
Both Hettiarachchi and Rathnayake are past pupils of Ananda College, Colombo.
