Sri Lanka is facing a high risk due to the spread of COVID19 and the number of deaths could rise drastically should we fail to take decisive corrective action, State Pharmaceutical Corporation Chairman Dr. Prasanna Gunasena said.

In a Youtube interview, Gunasena said the capacity of Sri Lankan hospitals is filling up plunging the health sector into a severe crisis.

"If we don't act responsibly, we will face the same plight as India," Dr. Gunasena warned the public.
