Parliamentarian Diana Gamage said Sri Lanka should rethink its position on prostitution.
"A lot of VIPs in our society have no problem about prostitution when it comes to their personal needs. We must revisit our position on such matters," Gamage said in a Youtube interview.
She recently said bars should be opened after midnight and gaming industries should be given more space and freedom to cater to the needs of those who could afford them.
The Parliamentarian, who crossed over to the ruling party in support of the 20th Amendment to the Constitution, also pushed for the legalisation of cannabis.
