Former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen and his brother Riyaj Btahiudeen have been arrested by the Police this morning.

Police sources said the arrests were made in connection with the investigations into the Easter Sunday attacks.

The arrests, they added, were made based on the evidence presented against them for aiding and abetting Islamist terrorist groups in Sri Lanka.

Bathiudeen was a minister of the previous government when the Easter Sunday attacks took place.
