Veteran actor Tennyson Cooray passed away early this morning, his friends and family confirmed.

The actor was 68 at the time of his demise.

Sources close to him said he was undergoing treatment for a terminal illness for a while.

He is well-known for his comic roles in the Sinhala cinema.
