Former President Maithripala Sirisena has arrived at the Commission probing Easter Sunday bomb attacks as an observer to listen to evidence given by other respondents.
Many individuals, including former Defence Ministry Secretary Hemasiri Fernando, attributed security lapses leading to the Easter Sunday attacks to the former President.
Sirisena was also the Defence Minister and the head of the National Secuity Council at the time of the incident.
The Police unit of the Commission has already recorded a statement from Sirisena on the incident.
