Ratnapura District MP Premalal Jayasekara, who sworn in as a MP in Parliament this morning told in Parliament that he was convicted based on false allegation levelled against him by the Yahapalanaya Government.

Making his maiden speech in Parliament he said “My conscience knows that I am innocent. I have been engaged in clean politics. I have not been engaged in any fraud or corruption in my political career. This is nothing but taking a political revenge,” he said.

He also said that CID headed by its Director Shani Abeysekara manipulated the investigations against him for political needs and filed false allegations.
