Colombo Archbishop Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith said the Presidential Commission must investigate those who masterminded the Easter Sunday attack.
"Some officials are now shedding tears before the Presidential Commission. Those are crocodile tears. If they failed to take adequate steps to prevent the attacks, they should be pushed out of their positions," he said.
"There is a man who lost his entire family due to the Easter attacks. He sleeps in the graveyard every single night. Our authorities don't understand the pain and anguish of these people," Cardinal Ranjith added.
"The previous government did not investigate the attack. They washed their hands off and looked the other way. Even now they are trying to downplay the incident," he said.
