Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa will meet reprsentatives of civil organizations on Friday to discuss their views on the government's move to abolish the 19th Amendment to the Constitution.
The meeting will take place in Pariament on Friday at 3 PM.
The government has made it clear that the 19th Amendment will be abolished soon with the exception of certain clauses.
The Cabinet has already appointed a ministerial sub-committee comprising Ali Sabry, Dinesh Gunawardena, Udaya Gammanpila and Nimal Siripala De Silva to draft the proposed amendments.
