The new government's first Cabinet meeting will be held this moring under the auspices of President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.

All Cabinet ministers who took oaths last week will attend the meeting.

It is learnt that the proposed 20th Amendment to the Constitution will be discussed at the first Cabinet meeting.

The new amendment seeks to abolish the 19th Amendment to the Constitution.
