While claiming that that the recent General election was conducted in a free, fair and peaceful manner, US Ambassador Alaina Teplitz, said that the election results showed that the previous administration has been rejected, the Prime Minister’s Media Division said.

“We look forward to working with the government,” Ambassador Teplitz has said when she met Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees and congratulated him on the successful election campaign.

Commenting on the COVID-19 preventive measures, the Ambassador said the Government certainly is to be commended for its success in handling the COVID-19 outbreak.
