The United National Party will summon a Working Committee meeting today to make a final decison on the national list nominee of the party.

Party leader Ranil Wickremesinghe has ruled out the possibility of his own appointment as the party's only national list nominee.

Party sources said Nissanka Nanayakkara, the Legal Affairs Secretary of the party, is likely to be appointed as the national list member.

However, the final decision in this regard will be made this evening at a Working Committee meeting chaired by Wickremesinghe.

The UNP managed to secure only one national list seat at the parliamentary election.
