A leading underworld figure Eron Ranasinghe alias SF Lokka, an underworld figure, has been shot dead by an unidentified gunman at the Dahaiyagama junction in Anuradhapura this morning.

Two others who were traveling in the same vehicle with Ranasinghe have been hospitalized with serious injuries.

The deceased is a 30-year-old person and a resident of Anuradhapura.

He is the main suspect in the murder case of Wasantha Soysa, a businessman in Anuradhapura.
