The government has temporarily suspended the repatriation of Sri Lankans stranded overseas due to the Parliamentary election.
The repatriation process has been halted until auust 08, the President's Office said.
Nearly 69,000 Police officers and 8000 health workers have been deployed across the country to ensure the healthy and safety standards.
The President's Office said nearly 600 Sri Lankans in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will return to the country on August 08.
