Supreme Court Judge Priyantha Jayawardena today recused himself from hearing the Fundamental Rights petition filed by former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen.

Bathiudeen in his FR petition sought an interim order preventing CID from arresting him over Easter Sunday’s attacks.

SC three-judge-bench comprising Justice Priyantha Jayawardena, B. Dehideniya and Justice Yasantha Kodagoda fixed the petition for support on August 7.
