The Presidential Commission probing political victimization has temporarily suspended summons on JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake and former CID Director Shani Abeysekara.

The Commission informed this to the Court I’d Appeal when the Writ Petitions filed by them were taken up for hearing.

Both Dissanayake and Abeysekara have claimed that the commission has no legal basis to issue summons on them based on a complaint lodged by Avant Garde Chairman Nissanka Senadhipathy.

Senadhipathy has lodged a complaint that the investigation launched by the CID into the Avant Garde case was politically motivated .
