Sri Lankan health authorities said 113 people in Piliyandala, who had close contacts with a military officer working at the Kandakadu Rehabilitation Centre, have been referred to PCR testing.
The infected Army officer, a resident of Piliyandala, had visited his mother in Piliyandala over the weekend. He had also visited several public places in the area including a bank.
However, Army Commander Shavendra Silva said the cluster at the Kandakadu Rehabilitation Centre had been brought under control.
