Health authorities in the Southern Province said 31 people who had close contacts with the COVID19 patient in Habaraduwa have tested negative.

The patient is a counsellor at the Kandakadu Drug Rehabilitation Centre where a "Corona cluster" was found last week.

A number of family members, including the mother and the wife of the patient, have undergone PCR tests.

Health authorities also added that the close contacts of the patient would undergo PCR tests for the second time as well.
